Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. Her birth date was 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox, who studied for three years at the Royal Academy of Music London in the 1970s, was admitted. Her budget was supplemented by a stipend for students and part-time work. Lennox felt that her skills aren't the same as those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other routes she could choose. Lennox began her career as a flute-player in the band Dragons Playground. However, she left before her band was invited to compete on I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980, she sang in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. She met Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her first solo album Diva, which was released around 1992. The album was hugely successful both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in October of 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul jazz tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her Now I let you go... art installation which was on display at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. The album is her first independently-released album. Medusa a studio album that was released in 1995 features songs that are re-imagined from her biggest hits, such as The No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and A Whiter Shade of Pale).
